Here's How Qualcomm Will Improve Your Smartphone'southward Camera

New Camera Modules

To that end, Qualcomm is adding iii modules to its photographic camera setup — one for iris authentication and a pair that add passive and active depth sensing.

The iris authentication module provides e'er-on security that can support phone unlocking features. Qualcomm says the sensor volition be able to work in low light and through most sunglasses. If iris authentication works equally promised, y'all won't exist able to fool it with pictures of optics or fifty-fifty 3D molds of faces.
